Spring Break 2012
Bows, crochet, and fringe

Spring break is only 4 weeks away!!
Here in Long Beach we're getting our bikini bodies ready as well as our spring break wardrobes!
I know I'm going to be tanning at the river for the week
and looking hot while doing so.
I've learned that while shopping for baiting suits a good rule to keep is quality V.S. quantity.
Same thing that applies with good clothing.
As long as you have some key pieces that you can mix and match you'll be set for a week at your favorite spring break destination.
Low quality prices will give you low quality material,
and we want our hottie baiting suits to last us all summer long.

Here are a couple pieces I'm going to need to save up my money for:

Bows are so cute this spring, whether in your hair or on your suit
I really like this baiting suit as a whole, but if you're trying to save money I think this top would go great with a pair if white hipkini bottoms that you already have!
Anthropologie Top: $78, Bottoms: $78

If you're not worried about tan lines after your spring break trip this is a great top you can pair with black or white tie-side bottoms.
Free people: Crochet High Neck Swim Top $75

This fringe top would goes great with matching bottoms or white bottoms as well.
L*Space Top: $73

I know that we are all taught that black is more flattering and makes you look slimmer, BUT
white will make your tan POP!

I'd say a good rule is if you're super pale while heading to spring break stick with the darker colors (whites may make you look whiter),
but once you get your tan on or if you're already semi-tan go for the lighter colors cause they'll make you look that much darker.

For swimwear you're not just limited to bikinis,
accessorizing will help spice your swimwear up

Here are some items I found surprisingly popular this spring:

TURBAN?!
Yes, turbans aren't just for the Punjabs
As long as you have hair with a little volume this trend could suit you
Free People: $24

Cover-ups are always essential
Urban Outfitters: Handkerchief Top

Hair accessories are a cute way you can add to your bikini without messing up your tan

Urban Outfitters: Braided Head-wrap $12

Urban Outfitters: Dreamcater Suede Headwrap $24

Those are a couple unique and trendy accessories you can use to go with your new bikinis.

Have a happy and safe spring break!

Grammys Black and White

As the Grammys were this past weekend, many viewers watched not only the awards presented but the dresses that grace the red carpet. The Grammys are the award show where a celebrity or artist can showcase their extreme creativity through dresses. It is not the typical award show that are formal and elegant but rather a time where one can wear something more crazy and out of the box. However strangely enough my favorite dresses were the simple little black dress and little white dress. These dresses are always in style and will always be in style. The celebrities this year that I believe to have the best dresses were something that we can learn from and take ideas from. We can see these dresses grace the red carpet and get inspiration to apply to our own wardrobes at home. Here are some of my favorite dresses that may give some ideas for what will always be in fashion, and some ideas for yourself.
